Cette enquête qualitative CAWTAR/UNESCO porte sur les rapports au politique des jeunes femmes en condition de vulnérabilité à Tozeur, Gafsa et Kasserine, trois gouvernorats de la région la région Sud-Ouest/Centre-Ouest. Adoptant une approche de sociologie politique compréhensive, elle se base sur un corpus de 94 entretiens approfondis semi-directifs, 3 focus groups et un support audio-visuel.

This study seeks to review the national efforts taken by the countries (Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Tunisia) through legislation, policies and strategies, procedures and mechanisms and initiatives to achieve gender equality in the field of women and human rights in general and in the field of economic empowerment in particular. In addition to identifying key issues, obstacles and opportunities and priorities that should be identified and to seek treatment, as follows, execute an analytical survey of the legal frameworks and institutional and regulatory mechanisms, and determine the capabilities and gaps in addressing issues of human rights for women and equality between the sexes, through a comprehensive methodology that leads to economic empowerment of women.

The study “Rural Women and Local Development in (Jordan, Palestine and Tunisia” is conducted within the framework of the Oxfam-Quebec Regional Economic Empowerment of Women Project (REEWP). Three researches were conducted in three targeted countries: Jordan, Palestine and Tunisia under the technical supervision and leadership of CAWTAR. The main goal of this research is to highlight how economically empowering rural women will improve the living standards within the household and give them more access to decision making process.
